The walls read...

Andrew is remodeling the upstairs bedroom so we can put someone (or someones) there.

Yesterday, he found some books in the walls. And a can of shoe grease.
a brand new can of shoe grease. weight 7.0 oz. just like the can says. smells pretty good, too!

The Methodist Sunday School Hymnal circa 1911

The cool thing about one of the books, is that it has some songs in it that I didn't realize were not LDS songs. The melodies are different though - try singing How Firm a Foundation to the tune of O, Come, All ye Faithful. It's crazy.

The other book is a Government text book for the girl who used to live here back in 1922. It's really interesting. And I'm not just saying that. There is a fictional proposed law used as a study question that talks about making smoking in public restaurants illegal. How many states have that as a law now? The suggested reading is to start at page 41. I think I'll start at the beginning.

I wonder what else we'll find in the walls.........
