My first bath

This is Margaret enjoying her first bath...

Here she is at 17 days old... she's already doing really well at holding her head up and she's very alert (when she's awake...) this is a rare glimpse of her fully awake. Still not sure what color her eyes are going to be, but we'll know in a few weeks! 

We decided to name our own little Stahr...

Meet Margaret Elizabeth Stahr.

Born 1 February 2006 at 1:20 PM, I weighed in at 6 lbs, 11.7 oz. I am 19 inches tall and the doctor told my Mom that I have a perfectly formed head. This picture was taken before they decided that I have a little jaundice, but I'm a good eater, so that will go away. My big sister thinks I'm the coolest new toy that she has (Mom and Dad are working on that...), and my Parents think I'm about the cooest miracle to come to their house in a long time.

So far I've been a really good baby for my parents (they're hoping that doesn't change, but I'm not guaranteeing anything!). I love to snuggle with my Mom and Dad, and I'm a really good eater and sleeper (and pooper too...). The journey here probably wasn't as long as the doctor's wanted it to be, but I'm glad to be here, and I know my Mom is glad too! (Daddy is just as pleased as punch - and I'm glad his boss gave him the time off to spend with me just after I came!) 

Just call me Spike...

But only if you're talking about the hair. It's all pokey-upey. It's really soft, so I'm sure in a little bit I'll be thoroughly tired of people rubbing their hands through it, but like the chandelier at home, it's guaranteed to get questions and remarks! Not a single person comes to our house without making some comment about the kitchen light... and the same was true at the hospital. Every person who came to visit had something to say about my hair! Maybe I'll have Mom invest in some gel or something.... 

I really do have eyes!

We're not sure what color these beauties are going to be, but for now... this sight is a rarety. Usually she sleeps with one eye open, or she winks at you as if to say, "I'm not sure about you, but this light is way too over-rated!"
